Cultural Tours

These tours offer a very broad range of cultural opportunities that reach across the globe. C-Tours has helped educators organize group tours to the ancient ruins of Peru (including Machu Picchu), Greece & Turkey, Israel and Sicily. We have worked with groups from an American hospital who have toured the Tuscany region of Italy as well as the Masai Mara Plains of Kenya. Also, we have organized tours for groups of friends who enjoy traveling together to places like Spain, Portugal, France, and Armenia, as well as alumni who preferred a cruise on the Dnieper River in the Ukraine.

It isn’t always easy since some of these destinations have had cultural, political and economic changes that have challenged its people. These changes can be exciting and sometimes cause for concern. Our goal is always to keep your safety and security in mind.

Whether it is a cooking tour along the coast of southern Italy, a tour that focuses on impressionists in Southern France, or an exotic adventure on the Yangtze River in China, C-Tours is able to customize each travel experience to suit both your needs, as tour leader, and those of your group.

Indonesia (the birthplace of Wolter’s parents) is a marvelous destination for those who want to experience hospitality, excellent cuisine, and incredible cultural diversity. Our last group to Indonesia just returned this past July and were delighted with everything including the weather!

In 2009, we had a small group traveling to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Chartering a small yacht for 16 people was a wonderful way to build up the community of the group.

Wolter and Tammy also traveled to Tanzania, where they made new contacts with partners in Dar es Salaam and Mbeya and saw the potential for great safaris in the unusual Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, and Arusha. However, the central parks near Mbeya are less commercial and draw the wildlife from South Africa.

Green is a very popular color and theme for everything in our ever shrinking world. The care of this Creation and its people affects the way we travel in other countries. We at C-Tours want to be sensitive to how we treat people and what we expect. We do believe that to travel you must be open to all kinds of things going wrong or at least being different than at home. “Travel” is eye opening to how good we have it at home. Yet to understand others we must try to walk in their shoes.

Is there any reason why you would not want to expose your group to what is going on in other lands? Call us at (877) 595-6027. We look forward to hearing from you.
